Be Careful What Doctors Tell You About Heart Disease. The Answer To Cardiovascular Health Is Nutrition, Not Drugs!
'There’s a reason why statin drugs, high blood pressure drugs, and diabetes medications are the best selling drugs on the market. Drug companies have done a masterful job of instilling fear into virtually everyone alive that if there are any imbalances, their risk of dying from heart disease greatly increases. What they haven’t told you is that these numbers have been deliberately manipulated so they can sweep in millions and get them on a regimen of drugs for life on the false assumption that they will live longer by taking them.
What you will rarely hear is that most heart disease is caused by nutritional deficiencies. You won’t get well or live out the years you were created to live until you know what’s causing your heart condition or how to prevent one altogether. Of all the organs in the body the heart is the one most often damaged by nutritional deficiencies. It is also the most responsive organ to nutritional therapies.'

'When U.S. regulators approved Monsanto’s genetically modified “Bt” corn, they knew it would add a deadly poison into our food supply. That’s what it was designed to do. The corn’s DNA is equipped with a gene from soil bacteria called Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) that produces the Bt-toxin. It’s a pesticide; it breaks open the stomach of certain insects and kills them.
But Monsanto and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) swore up and down that it was only insects that would be hurt. The Bt-toxin, they claimed, would be completely destroyed in the human digestive system and not have any impact on all of us trusting corn-eating consumers. Oops. A study just proved them wrong.'

'Not all poisons have cross-bones on the label. Some have clouds, happy people or flowers, and we may not realize that, pretty pictures aside, what’s in the bottle is bad stuff. First, some background.'

'Some good news on the “GMO Labeling” front for a change?'
'The new Codex Alimentarius agreement coming out of the latest Codex Commission meeting assures us that if any country decides to voluntarily label GMO foods, it can do so without the threat of World Trade Organization (WTO) legal challenges. In other words, because we want to know what is in our food, and enough pressure has been put on governments to label these toxic substances, the United Nations graciously consents to allow such labeling without fear of global retribution via the WTO. Now isn’t that special!'

Buffy, the Movie Slayer
Buffy, the Movie Slayer
'Forks Over Knives suggests that eating milk and meat causes chronic degenerative disorders. Somehow it leaps over a fact – that chronic degenerative disorders are new but eating milk and milk are as old as human kind. This movie seems meant to “look like” an anti-establishment documentary, but it is a disaster in terms of offering anyone a “whole” view of food.'

'What does radiation do to us? It burns the cells, kind of like burning down a house. It is well known that radiation burns our cells by creating too much free radical damage. Now of course this is like talking Greek to medical officials and professors because if they knew this they would be on the bullhorn telling the public what to do to minimize free radical damage.
This is important information because just about everyone in the northern hemisphere, within a short period of time, will have to live with a gentle radioactive mist all around them and their children.'

Oregano can heal
'One of the ancient Greek names for oregano was panakes or "all heal". So, it's not surprising that this culinary herb is believed to have medicinal properties. Studies show that oregano is highly antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, anti fungal and antiviral. It also contains at least seven compounds that can lower blood pressure.'
'In the wake of hundreds of dietary supplements recently being outlawed across the EU, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has quietly unleashed a regulatory scheme that, if fully implemented, could ban virtually all dietary supplements in the USA that were formulated after 1994.'
'Purple corn is turning out to be one of the healthiest foods on the planet. It is loaded with phenolics and anthocyanin, and has an antioxidant rating higher than blueberries. The health benefits of purple corn are pervasive in the body, and it has a normalizing effect on many bodily systems. It can even shrink cancerous tumors. As the healing value of purple corn becomes apparent, researchers have jumped in to document its many benefits, and supplement companies have rolled out purple corn extracts.'

Same Disease, Different Response
'Arthur suffers from severe arthritis. He is in pain most of the time and can't sleep. He took early retirement because of his arthritis and now, only 55, he spends his day sitting at home bored. He avoids most physical activity because of the pain, weakness, and shortness of breath. He has become very irritable. Most people, including his family, don't enjoy his company anymore. It even seems too much trouble when the grandchildren he adored come to visit.
Isabel, age 66, also has severe arthritis. Every day she walks several blocks to the library or the park. She works two days a week as a volunteer at a local hospital. When her pain is severe, she practices her relaxation technique and tries to distract herself. She also loves going to see her young grandchildren and even manages to take care of them for a while when her daughter is out. Her husband is amazed by how much zest she has for life.'
'In 1980, the government started allowing patents on living organisms such as pathogens. Perfect timing for scientists to make a mad dash for parts of newly-discovered Lyme and keep the information locked to protect future profits.
These so-called experts research it with federal funds, then start private firms and patents. They write guidelines for insurance companies and HMOs so that the disease doesn’t exist (yet) or require coverage. Not only do Lyme victims spend hundreds of thousands for medical treatment, but they can’t be covered for Lyme!'
'The anti-inflammatories, which are widely available in supermarkets and pharmacies, have been previously linked to a higher chance of heart attacks and strokes.
But a new study has shown for the first time a connection between the drugs and atrial fibrillation, also known as irregular heart rhythm or flutter.
The condition is more common than heart failure and stroke, and is linked to a higher long-term risk of developing both.'
'Summer is the perfect time to enjoy the sweet and tangy flavor of tomatoes. Whether you buy them at the farmstand, the supermarket or grow your own, there are a few things you should know about tomatoes. What's in a tomato? Tomatoes are excellent sources of potassium and several vitamins: folic acid Vitamin A Vitamin C Vitamin E. But did you know that eating tomatoes could possibly help to burn fat?'
The drug industry is coming up with ever more clever ways to pump Americans full of drugs they may not need -- and that may not even work.
'The discovery that many people with life problems or occasional bad moods would willingly dose themselves with antidepressants sailed the drug industry through the 2000s. A good chunk of the $4.5 billion a year direct-to-consumer advertising has been devoted to convincing people they don’t have problems with their job, the economy and their family, they have depression. Especially because depression can’t be diagnosed from a blood test.'

'A gel that can help decayed teeth grow back in just weeks may mean an end to fillings.
The gel, which is being developed by scientists in France, works by prompting cells in teeth to start multiplying. They then form healthy new tooth tissue that gradually replaces what has been lost to decay.
Researchers say in lab studies it took just four weeks to restore teeth back to their original healthy state. The gel contains melanocyte-stimulating hormone, or MSH.
We produce this in the pituitary gland, a pea-sized gland just behind the bridge of the nose.'
'I recently learned about a teen whose life was turned inside out and ripped from him. A psychiatrist had diagnosed him at a young age with ADHD, given him Ritalin…and then the parade of newer diagnoses followed—Clinical Depression, Bipolar, Oppositional Defiance Disorder—and the boy ended up on Valproate and Risperdal, two powerful toxic drugs that dropped him over the cliff into psychosis.
Does this seem impossible?
What lies behind the story, one that is happening with increased frequency all over the world—every day.'
'This new policy is a complete reversal of the policy the administration outlined just two years ago. In 2009, the Obama administration boldly and wisely declared that the federal government would no longer bring federal drug-law prosecutions against individuals in compliance with state medical marijuana laws, including distributors and cultivators.
This humane policy, known as the Ogden memo — named after David W. Ogden, the Justice Department official who authored it — acknowledged the reality that marijuana is currently providing relief for between 750,000 and 1 million patients with serious illnesses like cancer and AIDS in the one-third of states that permit its medical use.'
'The Environmental Working Group knows that you care about the affordability and availability of healthy food and clean drinking water. So we wanted to make sure you know as much as you can about the massive piece of legislation that guides federal agriculture policy.
Congress rewrites the farm bill every five years or so. It drives federal spending for farm, nutrition and conservation programs and is the only important piece of environmental legislation that Congress is almost certain to enact over the next 18 months. In just a single year – 2010 – farm bill programs spent $96.3 billion. With so much on the table, here’s our list of the 10 most important things you should know about the farm bill:'
'What have you heard about tickborne Lyme for the last 30 years? That it’s rare, scary, acute, treatable… The government warns about its spread and implores people to go to a doctor upon seeing the telltale bulls-eye rash. What happens when they actually do?
Many have researched the controversial beginnings of Lyme disease, but this article focuses on what happens to victims when they contract it and what they can do now.
Under Our Skin is a documentary that lends a voice to the many who in fact suffer from chronic Lyme and are victims of a greater abomination.
Why do conventional doctors tell them it’s in their head? Why won’t they quickly test for it? Treat it? Acknowledge it? Why do medical boards shut down doctors who can treat and cure Lyme?'
